Food Explorers Camp (July 17-20)

Food Explorers Camp (July 17-20)
Are you hoping your child will have time to learn, play, explore, and grow this summer through hands-on experiences that shape healthy habits for their life?
Then these camps are for you!
These camps are designed to help children explore foods in a new way. Through age-appropriate experiences in the garden, kids will learn more about plant life cycles, where their food comes from, and fresh fruits and vegetables. These activities will allow opportunities for kids to study and examine the plants, hand-pick the produce, and compare and contrast growth patterns in ways that get them excited about the foods being offered.
Furthermore, each child will be invited to have their hand at washing, preparing, and eating the fruit and vegetables grown plus many other locally grown favorites. With kid-friendly recipes and the use of age-appropriate cooking tools and techniques, Ashley will teach kids how to prepare healthy snack options for themselves.
With additional arts, crafts, and reading activities, kids will walk away from this camp with a newfound interest, excitement, and eagerness towards real foods.
